"Find It" in Montclair -- Searchable Map

I'm building an ever-evolving, searchable map of my favorite local Montclair area restaurants, shops, and services to make your life here even more enjoyable -- let me know if there's something special you'd like me to add !

There are some things that no doubt, put and will put Montclair on the map that don't have one physical presence, like the upcoming Montclair Film Festival being planned for next year.

Currently organizing events and fundraisers, the non-profit organization working on the festival held a signature screening event this past week at the Bellevue Theatre: a special, pre-release screening of the soon to be released documentary, Page One: Inside the New York Times.  With an after screening Q & A led by noted Montclair writers, the event reminded me of why I am always so very comfortable living and working here.

I like to call our part of New Jersey urban-suburban. As a former New Yorker who moved west seventeen years ago, I no doubt had many of the same goals many of my customers have today: I wanted more space with a workable commute to New York and I wanted an opportunity to build equity. I found Montclair when I was working on television commercials and we shot on location in some of the older estate homes along Upper Mountain Avenue. From the tree lined streets to the absence of strip malls, to the specialty shops and sidewalk restaurants lining downtown Church Street, to the newly enlarged Montclair Museum (featuring shows by the likes of Cindy Sherman and Roy Lichtenstein), I felt as though I'd found a town I could call home.
